Jamie McShane

Jamie McShane was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. He received his BA in English from the University of Richmond in Virginia. At twenty-two Jamie backpacked around the world, travelling extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Upon returning to the States he pursued his childhood dream of being an actor. While selling and servicing microscopes and teaching tennis to get by, Jamie appeared in numerous plays in New York City, New Jersey, and on tour. He moved to Los Angeles in 1999 to pursue TV and Film. His early "breaks" included roles on "NYPD BLUE" and "CSI." Jamie won a Best Actor Award at the 2002 Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films for his lead role in the AFI film, "FINE." "FINE" went on to win an Academy Award for Best Student Film.

Jamie has had roles in major films like "TERMINATOR 3," "HOSTAGE," "GRIDIRON GANG," "PRIDE and GLORY," "MR. BROOKS," and most recently "THOR" directed by Kenneth Branagh. Jamie has appeared in over 90 television episodes in the last decade portraying a wide variety of characters. Some of his more notable roles have been on "DEADWOOD," "THE CLEANER," "IN MY POCKET" (a film in festivals now), and most especially as Cameron Hayes, the Irish gun-runner, on "SONS OF ANARCHY."

Last season Jamie was a Series Regular on FOX’s drama THE PASSAGE (based on the best-selling book), on which he played “Dr. Tim Fanning” (patient zero). In 2019 he recurs opposite Sir Patrick Stewart on the new STAR TREK: PICARD for CBS All-Access. Jamie previously starred for three seasons on the critically acclaimed Netflix series BLOODLINE opposite Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn and Sissy Spacek. He had a lead role in USA’s limited series UNSOLVED (which chronicled the murders of rap stars Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur).And in 2018 he had a pivotal recurring arc in season 4 of Amazon’s hit drama BOSCH. Previous recurring roles include SOUTHLAND (TNT), MURDER IN THE 1ST (Steven Bochco’s show on TNT), and SONS OF ANARCHY (FX). On film, Jamie can next be seen opposite Willem Dafoe in Disney’s TOGO. Prior roles include Dan Gilroy’s NIGHTCRAWLER and David Fincher's GONE GIRL.
Jamie lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their two little boys.
