Jye Frasca
Jye Frasca was born in the beachside city of Newcastle, Australia. He has citizenship in Australia, Great Britain, and the USA.
His love for the entertainment industry began as a boy on a family trip to New York, where he watched his first Broadway show. After seeing the show, he was asked, “Do you want to be up on that stage one day?” to which he answered an unequivocal and resounding, “Yes!” As soon as he returned home to Australia, he started taking every class he could and set his sights on making his own mark within the industry.
At just 16, he was awarded a full scholarship at the prestigious London Studio Centre and made the move from Australia to the UK. Only a year after moving to the UK, Jye began his extensive career on the London stage and quickly became known as one of the West End’s leading triple-threat talents, starring in over eleven West End shows. Most known in London for his portrayal of Frankie Valli in JERSEY BOYS, he has also worked alongside Joseph Fiennes in the National Theatre’s LOVES LABORS LOST, Idina Menzel in the London premiere of WICKED, and was nominated as Best Actor for his performance in THRILL ME: The Leopold & Loeb Story. Jye’s passion for the theatre is paralleled by his love of the screen, which has led him to work on multiple British TV shows and to star in his first feature film KAUFMAN’S GAME.
Always wanting to follow his dreams, Jye made the decision to move from the UK to the USA and make LA his home. Only three months after moving stateside, Jye made his American stage debut in JERSEY BOYS, where he played once again the iconic role of Frankie Valli. Most recently, he starred on Broadway as Boq, the big-hearted munchkin boy who turns into a man made out of tin, in the smash hit musical WICKED.
Most recently, Jye can be seen in the current season of Amazon Freeze’s LEVERAGE: REDEMPTION.
With his charismatic British accent and powerhouse singing vocals, he is proving to be quite a force on this side of the Atlantic.
