Larry Pressman

Lawrence Pressman is a founding member of the Antaeus, Matrix and Inkwell Theatre Companies. His recent appearances on stage in Los Angeles include Harold Pinter's “No Man's Land” at The Odyssey Theatre, the CTG's Kirk Douglas Theatre production of Tanya Barfield's “Of Equal Measure,” and the premiere of Jon Robin Baitz’s “The Paris Letter.” He appeared at the Mark Taper Forum in “Wood Demon,” “Richard III” and “A Month in the Country.” In addition, he had a leading role in the final workshop of Tony Kushner, “Perestroika.”

Mr. Pressman starred on Broadway in Woody Allen's “Play It Again, Sam” and in the much acclaimed production of “Man in the Glass Booth” directed by Harold Pinter. He went on to star in the latter's London production and the feature film. Also, he was in Paul Weitz’s “Show People” at Second Stage.

He has appeared in Antaeus' production of “Chekhov X 4” and “Tonight at 8:30.” In addition, among other regional theatres, he has performed at The La Jolla Playhouse and The Ahmanson Theatre. His repertoire includes such plays as “Betrayal,” “The Birthday Party,” “Long Days Journey into Night,” “A Walk in the Woods,” and “King Lear.” His nominations and awards include Ovation, Dramalogue, LADC, Garland, Maddy, LA Weekly, GLAAD and Broadway's Theatre World Award.

Mr. Pressman has more than 150 television and film credits. Perhaps best known for his role on the long-running series “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” he was recently featured on “Transparent,” “Hart of Dixie,” “Criminal Minds,” and “Mad Men.”
