Mahalia "Yeya" Jean-Pierre

Mahalia "Yeya" Jean-Pierre is a multi-talented, multi-racial voice actress from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Yeya spent the years of her childhood echoing the voices of her favorite cartoons, singing, and drawing. Her first experience on-stage began while attending a specialized high school centered around the performing arts; majoring in musical theatre.

Yeya's career as a singer/songwriter brought her to her current residence in Los Angeles where she performed a variety of concerts. Her most notable include singing at the WNBA Finals for a crowd of 13,000, and opening for Billboard chart-topping band, Five Seconds of Summer. Yeya's vocal versatility then led her to the beginning of a promising career in voiceover where she realized her true calling. She can be frequently heard in television and radio commercials, and continues to use her wide vocal range for her unique and compelling characters in both comedy and drama.

Yeya comes from a diverse background of African American, Portuguese, and Native American heritage, allowing her to draw from many experiences and stories. In addition to voiceover work, she enjoys modeling, acting, and philanthropic work with homeless youth in the community.

Fun fact: This rising star has a wide range (contralto), allowing her to do the occasional male voice, which you will hear showcased in her Animation demo!
