Michelle C. Bonilla

Michelle is a proud Chicana actor, writer, voiceover artist, and director, born and raised in Hollywood, CA.

She recently wrapped working Season 2 on a highly acclaimed drama, for Amazon, which will find her in all 8 episodes that will air sometime in 2025/2026. Her most recent credits include recurring roles for the last three seasons as Sara Ortiz on 911: Lonestar (FOX) and as Ava Diaz on On Call (Amazon). Guest
Roles include Grey’s Anatomy (ABC), High Potential (ABC), For All Mankind (Apple TV+), and The
Rookie (ABC).

And, in the world of voice over, she can be found in Gotham, as a Series Regular on Batman: Caped Crusader (2025 Critics Choice Award and Saturn Award, Nomination), the new animated series for Amazon Prime, playing “Detective Renée Montoya”. Ms. Bonilla also recurred as ‘Mrs. Flores’ in the
Emmy Award Winning animated series, The Casagrandes (Nickelodeon). She can be heard and seen animated in two different episodes of Love, Death, & Robots (Netflix). And, is also the voice behind the lead character, Scribe Odessa Valdez, in the critically acclaimed videogame series, "Fallout 76: Steel
Dawn and Steel Reign" (Bethesda Games). Currently, you can hear her as the national announcer for the “211” ad campaign, on radio and television, for the United Way and The Ad Council and radio ads for “AT&T”.

Along with her 30-year career in film and television, with more than 170 acting credits to her name, she is an avid supporter of LGBTQ rights and advocacy. She has used her skills as a writer and producer to create projects such as her short film “Slip Away” about substance abuse and its effect on a lesbian Latina
relationship. “Slip Away” went on to screen at numerous film festivals around the world, including OUTFEST and won The Q Award at the Fortworth Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival and The Bronze Award at The Mexico International Film Festival for Best Short Film.

In 2023, Michelle made her directorial debut with "I Just Wish You Told Me". Which, based on her own true story, centers around a woman who, after the unexpected death of her same sex partner, struggles to come to terms with the truth about her lover and the unforgivable secrets revealed in their thirteen-year
relationship. Ms. Bonilla wrote, produced, and starred in the project which has gone to screen at many film festivals, some of which include, The New York Latino Film Festival, Out on Film Atlanta LGBTQ Film Festival, Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ Film Festival, among others.

Michelle C. Bonilla is a winner of The ALMA (American Latino Media Arts Award) Award for her portrayal in PBS's Award Winning Foto-Novelas Series, Seeing Through Walls, which was recently archived into the Library of Congress. She is a three-time, SOVAS (Society of Voice Arts and Sciences)
Award, nominated actor and is honored to have received the prestigious recognition of being awarded the Resolution from The City of Los Angeles, Special Honoree - Latinas In Pride, for her work in the Arts and for promoting and advancing LGBTQ Rights.
